Note: The Halton District School Board has removed all teacher-librarian staffing, and repurposed school library spaces this semester -- there is no teacher-librarian currently available for student nor staff assistance, online nor in person. Students may not use the library space without specific direction and permission to do so, at this time.
Accessing Print Resources for the 2020-21 School Year
If you wish to sign books out of the CKSS Library, please follow the instructions on this form in order to reserve the book(s) you want. The library is not available for in-person browsing nor book selection at this time.
Due Date Extended
If you currently have materials from the CKSS library -- from before the summer -- just return them to the library via the regular book return slot when you're in the school next. All due dates for resources have been reset to September 25, 2020, due to the COVID-19 crisis.

The library space has been repurposed by the Halton District School Board, and is not available to students on a drop-in basis. Book sign out requests may be directed to the library technician, Ms. D. Walker.

Hours: 7:50 a.m. - 3:45 p.m., Monday - Friday, holidays & school closures excepted
Facilities: Main Library, 1 Seminar Room, Computer Area
Policies: No food or drink at computers; the library is a place of quiet research, writing, study, or collaboration
Loans: 2 weeks for books, 3 days for AV items & magazines, 1 day for Chromebooks; student card and clear account required for sign-out
Fees: Lost or damaged books assessed at replacement cost + processing fee
Accessibility: The CKSS Library is wheelchair accessible; the CKSS Library staff have ASL competencies

Orientation: Grade 9 Library Orientation begins in mid-September
