Forest of Reading:
The Ontario Library Association's Red Maple and White Pine Forest of Reading books are now available at the CKSS Library.
Join the program, read 5 books by the end of April, and vote for your favourite! See Library staff for more details.
Eating in the Library:
The CKSS Library is a place of quiet work, reading, and study. If you wish to eat a snack in the library while doing these things, you may. Using the library for eating a full lunch is not allowed.
The library is not a place for eating lunch and/or socializing loudly; please move to the cafeteria or a hallway location if you want to do these things. Thanks for your cooperation.
Library Information
Hours: 7:45 a.m. - 2:45 p.m., Monday - Friday, holidays & school closures excepted
Facilities: Main Library, 1 Seminar Room
Policies:
The library is a place of quiet work, reading, and study
Students may snack in the library if working, reading, or studying quietly; lunches are to be eaten elsewhere
The library is not available for socializing on a lunch or spare period: please use the hallway / cafeteria / outdoor space for this
All garbage is to be disposed of by students; moved furniture is to be returned when done
No food or drink is allowed at the library computers
Loans: 2 weeks for books, 3 days for AV items & magazines, 1 day for Chromebooks; student card and clear account required for sign-out
Accessibility: The CKSS Library is wheelchair accessible; some CKSS Library staff have ASL competencies
Networking: HDSB wireless access
